Panthers Sweep Lancers

North Bay – The Canadore Panthers women's volleyball team continue their 2022-23 season with a 3-0 (25-18, 25-22, 25-9) sweep win over Loyalist Lancers.

After winning the first two sets 25-18, 25-22 behind the outstanding play of Carlie Pappano (North Bay, ON) and Domenica DeFrancesco (Barrie, ON). The Panthers had the Lancers on their heels and were determined to compete the sweep in three sets.

The Panthers went out in the third set with a mission and dominated with the outstanding defensive play by Meadow Gillespie (Callander, ON). The Panthers closed out the third set with a 25-9 win, sweeping the Lancers for their second win of this 2022-23 season.

As a team, the Panthers finished the match with 34 kills, 29 assists, 11 aces, and 44 digs over the course of three sets.

Next for the Panthers (2-0, 2nd East) will be on the road to take on Durham Lords Nov. 05 at 6 p.m. and Fleming Knights Nov. 06 at 12 p.m. Both games will be streamed live on OCAA LIVE.
