Panthers Men's Hockey Returns
After a two-year hiatus, the Canadore Panthers Men's Hockey Team made their return to the ice at the George Brown Helder Cup Invitational on November 25th, 2023.
The Panthers came out strong in their first game against the Sheridan Bruins with a 4-2 win. Goals were scored by Keegan Boissonneault(2), Clinton Bennetto, and Jackson Downey. Panther of the game was awarded to Nick Hoey for his strong leadership on and off the ice, and instrumental to the Panthers clenching their first victory.
Game two against McMaster was not the success the Panthers were expecting as they fell to the Marauders in a 5-2 loss. Both goals were scored by tha Panthers' captain, David Beaven.
The Panthers took on the Durham Lords in their final game and unfortunately ended the day with a tough 3-0 loss.
Special thanks to Ben Nelles in his debut as Head Coach.
Overall a great tournament, and the Panthers look forward in competing in their next tournament in 2023.
