Canadore Panthers Dominate Fleming and Durham

North Bay, ON – The Canadore Panthers showcased their strength and depth this past weekend, delivering a dominant 3-0 win over Fleming College and a 3-1 win over Durham College. The wins brought their season record to an impressive 10-4.

Canadore vs. Fleming – January 18, 2025
In front of a home crowd, the Panthers overwhelmed Fleming College 3-0 (25-16, 25-14, 25-13), proving to be too much for the visiting team. Khaled Bryant led the charge with a remarkable 5 points in just 1 set, including 3 kills on 3 attempts for a perfect 1.000 hitting percentage. He was well supported by Konrad Siedlec, who contributed 5 points, including 2 kills and 3 assists, showcasing his versatility on the court.

Peter Ostranski-Ayles added 8 points from 8 kills, helping the Panthers control the offensive game, while Ethan Lucas had 8 points, including 7 kills. The team posted an overall hitting percentage of .500, dominating in all aspects of the match. The Panthers' defense also shone through, with 9 blocks, including key contributions from Tristan Godmaire, who added 8 assists.

The momentum continued into the next day as the Panthers took on Durham College, claiming another 3-1 victory (24-26, 25-17, 25-19, 25-17). Konrad Siedlec once again proved to be a standout performer, contributing 18 points with 14 kills on 23 attempts, hitting an impressive .522. Khaled Bryant also had an exceptional performance, adding 13 points with 9 kills and a .750 hitting percentage, showing his all-around skills.

Peter Ostranski-Ayles continued to play an important role with 13 points from 8 kills, and Sean Malherbe contributed solidly with 9 points. Tristan Godmaire was pivotal in running the offense, dishing out 36 assists to set up his teammates for success, while also adding 8 points himself.

Durham fought hard but could not match the Panthers' offensive firepower and consistent defense. The Panthers continued to dominate at the net, totaling 14 blocks across the match. With 68 total points and a team hitting percentage of .426, the Panthers proved their quality and resilience on both ends of the court.
